The Network for the operational Support and Education of the volunteers’ Associations in the field of Civil Protection against natural disasters (NSEA; LB; founded in 2015) has at the moment 6 GR Municipalities as members: Thessaloniki/Thermi/Pilaia-Chortiatis/Oraiokastro/Neapoli-Sikies/Komotini. The NSEA’s scope focuses on the education/training/operational support of civil protection volunteers. All members have long experience in leading and/or implementing National/EU/Cross-Border projects. Municipalities of Thermi (as LP) and Komotini (as PB2) of the predecessor project OUTLAND have accumulated all necessary implementation/procedural experience. NSEA has internal regulations on procurements of equipment/services which involve committees from all the member Municipalities. Thus expertise passes from the Municipalities to the internal procedures of the NSEA. OUTLAND project delivered all necessary infrastructures for the NSEA to be fully functional/capable of leading/implementing eOUTLAND. NSEA’s amplitude in terms of municipal partners (official responsibles of the civil protection volunteers) makes it the best choice for LB. Financially NSEA is fully capable of accomplishing its role within the project.
The Project is co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and by national funds of the countries participating in the Interreg V-A “Greece-Bulgaria 2014-2020” Cooperation Programme
